BILAYLET QAMAR - 1999

S Y N O P S I S

Inspired by Shakespeare’s comedy of Much Ado About Nothing, Bilaylet Qamar was the company’s first-ever musical. The story shows how young love can so easily be corrupted by jealousy and envy. It narrates the battle of the wits between a man and a woman, and the way their differences can be overcome by intelligent love. It takes faith, trust, friendship and honesty and a fake funeral to bring out the truth, to cast away the vindictiveness and to bring back together the deserved lovers.

Shakespeare Goes Lebanese

Inspired by Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, the Caracalla Dance Theatre presented a colourful and dynamic spectacle from August 11-14 during the Baalbeck International Festival.

THE GUIDE
Big time in Baalbeck

Caracalla’s dancers, actors and singers cannot rehearse in the same room because there are too many of them. However, Baalbeck is the only place with enough room to get everyone on stage. Ivan Caracalla tells the story of this unique production.
