ZAYED AND THE DREAM - 2008
S Y N O P S I S
The Caracalla Dance Theatre production Zayed and the Dream tells the story of seven mythical knights of the desert. These noble horsemen see in a new-born child - Zayed - the seven virtues of patience, courage, justice, faith, righteousness, wisdom, and honour. They thus mentor Zayed on his life-journey as the head of the family, the sheikh of an emirate, and as the ruler of a united country. Zayed’s vision is one of renaissance and education, development and prosperity, and law and order. He dreams of uniting the emirates through wisdom, fraternity, and dignity. Thus, the birth of a nation, the United Arab Emirates.
